Qingdao University is situated in the eastern coastal city of Qingdao, China, in a beautiful setting between the coast of the Yellow Sea and Mount Fushan. The rich local culture blended with the spirit of the times and the favorable support from the Shandong Provincial Government enabled Qingdao University to develop into a new type of comprehensive university.
Nowadays,Qingdao University has developed into a large-scale, well-managed comprehensive university with a good teaching staff and a complete range of disciplines with high prestige among similar domestic universities. With 23 colleges, Qingdao University encompasses 80 undergraduate programs covering such disciplines as liberal arts, history, law, economics, management, sciences, engineering, medicine, and education.
The beautiful campus of Qingdao University occupies an area of over 2,768 mu (about 180 hectares) and a floor area of 1,090,000 square meters. Its library, the largest in terms of floor area in Shandong Province, houses over 3,000,000 books. The university has advanced teaching facilities and an effective campus network.
Because of Qingdao University’s goal to maintain a high standard of modern management and globalization, the university is experiencing fast and steady development in international exchange and cooperation. It has established academic partnership and exchange programs with 130 universities and colleges in 20 countries and regions, including the USA, Britain,Germany,Japan,Korea,Russia,Canada,Australia,Sweden,Singapore and,Israel. Forty universities from among these countries have signed bi-lateral exchange agreements with Qingdao University. Each year, the university employs more than 50 qualified native foreign language teachers with long-term work contracts and over 100 visiting professors on a short-term basis. Meanwhile, each year about 100 Chinese teachers and students from Qingdao University study in these "sister universities" throughout the world. Thus, the new educational plan aimed at opening the university to the world has begun to take shape.
The International Program Building has become a multifunctional compound incorporating teaching, learning, and living facilities including classrooms, accommodations, canteen, teaching room, Internet room and a gymnasium. All lecture rooms are well equipped with advanced audio-video facilities.

Program Description
Qingdao University first started to accept the Clinical Medicine (MBBS) program international student in 2006. It is one of 30 universities qualified by the State Education Commission to accept Clinical Medicine (MBBS) international students using English as a medium program. Now there are about 120 international students studying Clinical Medicine (MBBS) Program at Qingdao University. Most of them come from India.

Internship and Career
In order to provide students with an all-round simulation clinical environment of hospital, the International Medical School introduced internationally advanced medical teaching equipment, and set up realistic simulation hospital, which completely simulates regular hospitals, and occupies 1780 square meters. It includes multi-function classrooms covering internal medicine, surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics, ICU, operation room, emergency outpatient department and ward checking etc, extensively involving training on asepsis, puncture, drainage, intubation, defibrillation and multi-case simulation etc, which can provide students with all-dimensional and all English modernized simulation environment.
This simulation hospital has the capacity to hold 300 students simultaneously to do clinical internship and assessment, to meet the need of students from different countries to have complete training from individual’s basic skill to medical teamwork, so that they can get in touch with clinical practice as early as possible, and get familiarized with medical behavior and procedures, therefore their overall quality and practical capability can be improved. Its establishment filled the domestic gaps of basic facilities for clinical practice of international students in China, and effectively eases the students’ pressure to integrate into local hospitals for doing internship. Hence, this acts as a bridge between basic medical knowledge and clinical operational skills.

Admission Requirements
1. Completed 17 years of age and Completed 10+2 years of education;
2. "A" & "O" levels or Intermediate of Science or equivalent with English;
3. Biology, Physics and Chemistry as main subjects and applicants must have passed in all the subjects mentioned above securing not less than 60%.

How to Apply
CUCAS provides two kinds of application methods for international candidates to study English medium MBBS programs at China's universities. They can choose the quick and convenient online application system or the traditional offline application route-Apply via Email.
Online Application Procedures
To complete the online application process, you need to follow the four main sections below:
1. Click 'Apply Now' button on this page and login, if didn't have the account, register first.
2. Fill out the online application form with real and correct informaiton, including personal information, education background, language proficiency, etc.
If you're not sure how to fill out the form, please check if there are any instructions behind the blank.
3. Upload the required application materials
Please upload photocopies of required application materials according to the university's admissions criteria.
All the materials should be MS-Word (.doc), Adobe PDF (.pdf) documents, image files (.gif, .jpg), or compression files (.rar, .zip). Each file cannot exceed 8 MB (megabytes)
4. Make payment
CUCAS offers five types of payment methods. Please carefully select your preferred payment method and to make the payment.
Students who choose Western Union or Bank transfer as their payment method need to upload the payment receipt after you wire the money at the post office or bank.
5. Submit application
Please submit your application once the application fee is confirmed by CUCAS. To submit your application, please access My CUCAS-> My Applications by logging in CUCAS, click 'Continue' at 'Application Status' column, and go to the 'Submit Application' section. You will see a big 'Submit' button. Click the button and your application will be sent directly to the university.
Once you've submitted your application, please wait 2-4 weeks for the university to process your application. Once the university has made a decision, CUCAS will notify you by email. You can also track your application status by logging into your CUCAS account.
Note: After admitted, 1000 USD will be charged as admission deposit.
Offline Application Procedures
The steps for 'Apply via Email' are as follows:
1. Choose a MBBS program;
2. Click “Apply via Email” to download the fillable application form and documents;
3. Open forms in MS Word and fill in required information electronically, please make sure the information is accurate and correct to receive your JW 202 form;
4. Send us the completed form and other required application materials;
5. Pay the Application Fee and CUCAS Processing Fee, keep the receipt;
6. Send us the copy of receipt, and the school will process your application once receiving your bank receipt;
7. Check your application process via email periodically, and track with your admission status;
8. Wait for your admission notice from CUCAS within 5 workdays, and the JW 202 form will send to you in 2-6 weeks;
